Astorflex is an Italian family-owned footwear brand now run by Fabio Travenzoli – the 4th generation running the company. The models are designed and developed to be very comfortable, above all, they are extremely flexible, soft and quickly adapt to your feet.
All the shoes from Astoflex are made by hand in Castel D’ario (Mantova, Italy) by skilled manufacturers. Astorflex uses leather, natural rubber and water-based adhesives for the production of their shoes.
Italian leather coming from the Master Tanneries in Tuscany is used for the uppers of the shoes and vegetable-tanned leather for the lining and insoles. Most of the soles are from Natural rubber formed with coagulated latex from the Rubber Tree.
Fabio Travenzoli is still supervising the company on a daily basis and focusses on implementing responsible, sustainable, transparent and fair production. Astorflex is one of the first footwear brands starting to produce different type of footwear just after the First World War using the so called “ideal” method; Outer stitching along the edge of the sole.
